Today Harlie wanted to watch a movie on my tablet with headphones so he wouldn't have to listen to me and my friends while we chatted over coffee. Amber and Jen came over for a bit. It is nice to get some girl time every once in a while. Here he is with his "weird smile" and his head phones. He was happy, which makes me happy!
After my coffee date I had to pretend to be an adult. LOL I paid some bills and for the first time in a long time felt good when I was done. There is something satisfying about paying all the bills and still having a little in the bank. But then I was done being an adult ad played play doh with Harlie before we had to go get the kids from school. After school it was raining so the kids had to stay inside. We are all still trying to get back in the swing of things after break so they were pretty low key. They watched a movie. Monsters or brother bear or something....

Then I made dinner... Manicotti/stuffed shells. Jasmyn helped me grate cheese and cut a green salad. Then to get out of doing after dinner dishes she did all the hand washing of the big pots and pans. I don't have the heart to tell her that hand washing is equal the amount of work to after dinner dishes.... whatever... As long as they do the dishes who am I to spoil her mindset!
Kaleb and Jasmyn are such good helpers. I rarely do dishes anymore or unload the dishwasher. It is nice to divide the work load. And it teaches them about cleaning up after themselves and how a family works and lays together. All good stuff for sure!
